What is the appropriate percent to tip at a hair salon?

15% is standard, 20% if you really liked and felt you recived great service. i tip somewhere inbetweenWhat is the appropriate percent to tip at a hair salon?
10% only. like if you pay 50.00 then tip 5.00What is the appropriate percent to tip at a hair salon?
I would say at least %10, but being a hairstylist, I would love to get at least %15. So if you spend $40 you only would be tipping $4 if doing 10% and $6 if doing 15%. See that's not bad at all, at the most you will be spending $46 on a $40 hairstyle!
I think 18% is good, but depending on what your having done.If you get a cut then the 18% is good.If your having more done to your hair;say for instance, color, highlights, etc. then Iwould leave a little more. Also if the stylist takes her time and you like what you get then I would leave a little more.Be Generous, because more than likely if you like your cut and style your more than likely to visit again.
15%
Standard gratuity for any sort of service is 15%. If you like the stylist's job and your happy with the results, you can give more.
