How do i make a hair appointment at a salon i've never been to?

I know someone who get's there hair done at this salon and i want to start going there too, but i don't know how to make an appointment if i don't know anyone who works there.

Well of course they would pick up the phone. Then you would state your name and when you are free to do your hair. They will probably ask for your phone number. They would choose a time or you could choose a time.
Are you serious? You do the same thing you do anywhere.
